WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced more than $270,000 in awards through the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Office of Rural Development. The grants will be administered through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $2,369,024 grant for the Maryland Rural Development Corporation, serving Harford, Cecil and Caroline counties. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Administration for Children & Families. The funds will be distributed through the Head Start program.
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $850,000 grant for Shore Transit, serving Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester counties, and a $248,000 grant for Delmarva Community Services, serving Kent, Caroline, Talbot and Dorchester counties. The grants were awarded by the Department of Transportation.

The grants were awarded through the Water and Waste Disposal Loan and Grant Program of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development.
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $39,784 federal grant to Rebuilding Together, located in Chestertown. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development.
Rebuilding Together Kent County is a local affiliate of Rebuilding Together, the nation's largest volunteer home repair and rehabilitation organization. The program utilizes donated building materials and volunteer time to repair and rehabilitate the houses of low-income homeowners who are elderly, disabled and/or families with children.
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced over $1.3 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency grants to local fire departments in the First Congressional District. The grants were awarded through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program (AFG) and the Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response Grant Program (SAFER).
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced three upcoming local town halls, November 6 in Carroll County and November 7 in Kent County and Cecil County. The Town Halls are free, open to the public, and include an extensive question and answer session with the Congressman.
