WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced three upcoming local town halls, October 13 in Caroline County and Talbot County and October 14 in Worcester County. The Town Halls are free, open to the public, and include an extended question and answer session with the Congressman. Topics of discussion will cover a wide variety of issues of interest to constituents, including gun control proposals and 2nd Amendment Rights, health care, and impeachment proceedings.

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a more than $42 million federal contract with Hardwire, LLC, located in Pocomoke City. The contract will provide the Marine Corps with up to 982,749 Soft Armor Inserts. Work will be performed in Pocomoke City and is expected to be completed by 2024.
Hardwire has developed and fielded armor to protect against a variety of threats, including small firearms and improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $1,000,000 federal grant to Maintaining Active Citizens (MAC) Incorporated in the City of Salisbury. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the funds will be dispersed through the Alzheimer's Disease Program Initiative.

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $24,347 federal grant to the City of Salisbury. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds will be dispersed through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program.
WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $670,074 federal grant to the Crisfield-Somerset County Airport. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation and will fund removal of tree obstructions to meet Federal Aviation Administration design standards.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded $200,000 to Crisfield through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program. The funds will be used to enhance and support operations and safety.

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $1.1 million federal grant to the Salisbury-Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation and will fund rehabilitation of the apron, taxiway and lighting. The airport supports more than 1600 local jobs.

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of federal grants to volunteer firefighter departments on the Eastern Shore. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded $169,809 to the Queenstown Volunteer Fire Company, $228,928 to the Denton Volunteer Fire Company, and $335,000 to the United Communities Volunteer Fire Department in Stevensville. The grant monies will be provided through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program and Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grants.
