On the morning of October 1st, 2025, a government shutdown took effect after funding authorization expired for the federal government. |
“The only reason a government shutdown is on the table is because Democrats are demanding $1.5 trillion in unrelated spending demands including healthcare handouts for illegal immigrants. I voted to keep the government open and funded. The blame for this shutdown rests squarely with those who demanded trillions in unrelated, policy demands.”
