WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, August 6th, Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the start of dredging of the Ocean City Inlet. The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) was able to secure a USACE dredge vessel from their sister district, Wilmington, for dredging of the inlet. The vessel arrived today and will conduct five days' worth of dredging over the coming week starting tomorrow, August 7th.

Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced two Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awards: $173,578 for the Ocean City Municipal Airport, and $315,355 for the Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport. The awards will fund removal of tree obstructions from runway approach surfaces at each airport.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, July 23rd, Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced an award of $468,500 for the Farm-Fish-Food Program of the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center, Inc. The grant is provided by the Economic Development Administration (EDA). The Farm-Fish-Food Program intends to invest funds in eastern and southern Maryland to address agriculture, aquaculture, and environmental challenges.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, July 23rd, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded the Board of Education in Worcester County, MD $49,392 for the Accelerating Promising Practices for Small Libraries (APP) program in the First Congressional District of Maryland. The funds will be allocated to Worcester County Public Schools' twelve libraries. According to IMLS, "Year one of the project will focus on working with stakeholders to develop the strategic plan.
Washington, D.C. (July 22, 2019) – Yesterday, Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01), U.S. Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen, along with Congressmen Steny H. Hoyer, Elijah E. Cummings, Dutch Ruppersberger, John Sarbanes, Anthony Brown, Jamie Raskin, and David Trone, announced $125 million in federal funding for the Howard Street Tunnel, which comes on top of the $91 million commitment that the Maryland Delegation worked to secure from CSX, the company that owns the tunnel.
