WASHINGTON, DC: President Trump signed H.R. 4913 to rename a United States Postal facility in honor of the deceased Sgt. Maj. Wardell B. Turner. Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) authored H.R. 4913, which designates the United States Postal facility located at 816 East Salisbury Parkway in Salisbury, Maryland, as the ‘‘Sgt. Maj. Wardell B. Turner Post Office Building."

WASHINGTON, DC: The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded a $20 million grant to Cecil County. The Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant provides funding for a new interchange at I-95/Belvidere Road, and for the relocation of Belvidere Road and construction of a new bridge over I-95. In July 2018, Congressman Harris led a letter from members of Maryland's Congressional Delegation to Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao expressing support for this important project.

WASHINGTON, DC: On Tuesday, December 4, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded the City of Salisbury a $37,500 grant to help fund an assessment of a multi-user port along the Wicomico River. The EDA is an agency in the United States Department of Commerce, and this investment funds a port feasibility study to assess the physical and economic viability of a multi-user port along the Wicomico River. EDA grants are awarded through a competitive process based upon the application's merit, the applicant's eligibility, and the availability of funds.
