WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) will meet with the new manager of Easton Airport on Tuesday, October 16. Constructed for use by the military during World War II, today Easton Airport is one of the busiest general aviation facilities in Maryland.

"After I was physically confronted by protestors attempting to physically force their way through a private doorway into my office in Washington, D.C., the same violent protesters then attempted to forcibly open the main door to the office.
WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) supports the Trump administration in NAFTA renegotiations between the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The purpose of these negotiations is two-fold: first, to update the 24-year-old agreement with modern provisions representing a 21st century agreement. Second, the renegotiation will rebalance the agreement to better serve the interests of American workers, farmers, ranchers, and businesses.
WASHINGTON, DC: The U.S. Department of Justice issued a grant to the Maryland Department of Education for $333,333 to support programs relating to School Violence Prevention and Mental Health Training.
WASHINGTON, DC: The U.S. Department of Justice issued a grant to the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services in Baltimore, MD for $231,202 to support programs under the national sex offender registration system, called the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. Sex offender registration is a system for monitoring and tracking sex offenders following their release into the community.
WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) voted for a series of bills designed to protect the American taxpayer, collectively known as Tax Reform 2.0. These bills include: H.R. 6756, the American Innovation Act, H.R. 6757, the Family Savings Act, and H.R. 6760, the Protecting Family and Small Business Tax Cuts Act. WASHINGTON, DC: The United States Trade Representative (USTR) released a list of tariffs with an exemption for a product, 3,5-Dinitro-o-toluamide, that largely affects the operations of Zoetis, a local business in Salisbury, MD. Dinitro-o-toluamide is used in the production of two related products that are very important for the treatment of the infection coccidiosis, especially significant in chicken and turkey production. The Zoetis product Zoalene is used to make Zoamix® and is a feed additive for chickens and turkeys which helps to reduce use of antibiotics in poultry feed.
WASHINGTON, DC: On Tuesday, September 25, Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) offered a border wall amendment to H.R. 6157, the House bill funding defense, labor, HHS, and education, and continuing funding for other government agencies. His amendment would remove restrictions on Customs and Border Patrol funding for construction of new walls along our southern border.
