Harris Statement on Articles of Impeachment

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) responded to the House Judiciary Committee's approval of 2 charges of impeachment today.

Congressman Harris made the following statement:

"The articles of impeachment passed on a purely partisan vote by the Democrats prove what a partisan stunt this impeachment sham really is. The only abuse of power, as Professor Turley testified last week, is on the part of the House majority pursuing impeachment with no basis in fact. As to obstruction of Congress, even President Obama's own Attorney General Eric Holder refused to answer House subpoenas that he claimed infringed on executive privilege. Where was the outrage then from the Democrats, or their calls for impeachment?"
