Currently, there will not be a polling place on the island on election day or for early voting. Funding came from the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program, which is the nation's leading effort to mobilize communities to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth.

Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced that the Town of Oxford has been named a Class 7 community in the Community Rating System (CRS) administered by Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). According to FEMA, "residents living in the Special Flood Hazard area in CRS Class 7 communities will receive a 15 percent discount on NFIP premiums. The greater the investment in reducing flood risk, the greater the insurance savings through the CRS program. As communities move between classes, they implement flood reduction measures and save more on insurance."
