WASHINGTON, DC: The U.S. Department of Transportation awarded a $20 million grant to Cecil County. The Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) grant provides funding for a new interchange at I-95/Belvidere Road, and for the relocation of Belvidere Road and construction of a new bridge over I-95. In July 2018, Congressman Harris led a letter from members of Maryland's Congressional Delegation to Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao expressing support for this important project.

WASHINGTON, DC: On Tuesday, December 4, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) awarded the City of Salisbury a $37,500 grant to help fund an assessment of a multi-user port along the Wicomico River. The EDA is an agency in the United States Department of Commerce, and this investment funds a port feasibility study to assess the physical and economic viability of a multi-user port along the Wicomico River. EDA grants are awarded through a competitive process based upon the application's merit, the applicant's eligibility, and the availability of funds.
