WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) announced that the Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR), in conjunction with the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center (CBEC), has been selected to receive $1 million in grant funds from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as part of their National Coastal Wetlands Conservation Grant Program.

WASHINGTON, DC: On May 6th, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced the imminent finalization of the rule providing for the release of 30,000 additional H-2B visas for the summer season of Fiscal Year 2019. Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) has spearheaded the effort to secure these extra visas both in the House of Representatives and in the Maryland delegation, and made the following statement supporting the DHS' decision to increase the allotted amount of H-2B visas:

In his remarks, the president stated, "Just today, we finalized new protections of conscience rights for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, teachers, students, and faith-based charities. WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) will join Vice President Mike Pence at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Field Office in Baltimore, Maryland on Wednesday, May 1^st. WASHINGTON—Representative Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) and 80 Members of the House of Representatives introduced the Conscience Protection Act on Monday, April 1, 2019. The Conscience Protection Act amends the Public Health Service Act to prevent government at the local, state, or federal level from discriminatory practices and penalization of health care providers that do not participate in highly controversial abortion services.
