WASHINGTON, DC: On Tuesday, June 6 at 5:30 PM, Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) will hold a telephone town hall to answer questions and hear the concerns of constituents living in Baltimore, Carroll, Cecil, and Harford Counties. The Congressman's office will call out to nearly 80,000 constituents living in these four counties, pulling phone numbers from the constituent services database.

WASHINGTON, DC: On May 17, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed former FBI Director and U.S. Attorney Robert S. Mueller III to serve as Special Counsel to oversee the FBI investigation into efforts by Russia to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) released the following statement in response to this appointment:

On November 2, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi blasted FBI Director James Comey on CNN for his handling of the FBI's investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails. That same day, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told Bloomberg News that he no longer had confidence in Mr. Comey. Several Democratic lawmakers followed suit in criticizing the FBI Director.

However, when President Trump dismissed Mr. Comey earlier this week, the decision was met with an outcry from Congressional Democrats.

"The FBI Director, like all heads of executive branch agencies, serves at the discretion of the President. The recommendation to terminate Director Comey came from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein – a man committed to justice and widely respected by his peers. I trust the judgment of Mr. Rosenstein, and I believe the President and Attorney General should choose a Director in whom they and the American people have full confidence."
