WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01), the only physician member of Congress to have conducted research funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), commended NIH Director Francis Collins today in releasing the NIH-Wide Strategic Plan.

WASHINTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris, M.D., (MD-01) was appointed by Speaker Boehner to the Select Investigative Panel of the Committee on Energy and Commerce. Earlier this year, videos were uncovered showing employees of the largest abortion provider in the country discussing the techniques and practices used to harvest and sell fetal organs. Ongoing investigations at three House committees unveiled the necessity for a select panel. The House passed H.Res.

It was an honor to hear him address Congress today. I am glad he included remarks on the importance of family, and ‘our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development.’”

WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) released the following statement after the House of Representatives did not approve the nuclear deal in Iran. The House did not pass H.R. 3461, “To Approve the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, signed at Vienna on July 14, 2015, relating to the nuclear program of Iran.” The House also passed H.R. 3460, which would remove the ability of the President to lift or reduce sanctions on Iran within the nuclear agreement.

Washington, DC: The Office of Congressman Andy Harris has announced it will host a Weather - Emergency Preparedness Event to be held Thursday, July 30, 2015, at the Ocean Pines Community Center, 235 Ocean Parkway, Ocean Pines, MD 21811.
