Congressman Harris Statement on the Maternal and Child Home Visiting Reauthorization Act of 2022

"No matter how well-intentioned this program may be, it is a bad idea to fund this program with a half a billion dollars for the next five years, and tying our hands in dealing with our $1 trillion budget deficit that is causing run away inflation. Furthermore, there is no need to provide additional federal matching funding in this program while the federal government is running a $1 trillion deficit and state governments are generally flush with cash."
