President Trump’s Immigration Policies Put American Jobs and Safety First

WASHINGTON, DC: On October 8, the White House released an outline of President Trump's immigration principles and priorities. Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) issued the following statement in support of the President's agenda:

"Our nation's immigration system is broken and hurting American workers. The immigration agenda proposed by President Trump exemplifies his commitment to securing our borders, improving oversight of who is entering our country, keeping the American people safe, and increasing employment opportunities for Americans. It is imperative that Congress works with the Trump Administration to secure our southern border, penalize unlawful sanctuary cities, and prevent foreign nationals from overstaying their visas, which is the leading cause of illegal immigration in the United States."
