Ocean City Receives Federal Funding for Beach Replenishment

WASHINGTON, DC: On May 25, the Ocean City government received notification that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has allocated $2.45 million in federal funding for the beach replenishment project in Ocean City. Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) released the following statement in praise of the project:

"The beaches of Ocean City were severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, and I am pleased to see the Army Corps of Engineers working with Ocean City officials to fund and complete the beach replenishment project. This project will restore our beaches and encourage growth in the city's tourism industry."
