Harris Statement on Trump Negotiating to Reopen the Government

"I'm glad to see that President Trump has brokered a deal to open the government for the next three weeks while adequate border security funding is negotiated. America needs to see an end to the threat of any future shutdown by Democrats who cling to their dangerous pursuit of open borders and amnesty. The president is right in spotlighting the horrors of human trafficking, drugs, and MS—13 gangs that come across our border. It's up to the American people to now hold Democrats to their word to negotiate in good faith while the government is temporarily reopened."
