Harris Issues 9/11 20th Anniversary Statement

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) issued the following statement on the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks:

"As we reflect on that fateful day on which our nation – our very ideals – were attacked by an enemy we barely knew, we must again recommit to ensuring that we never forget. We must also reflect on the twenty years of war now painfully coming to a close, with thousands of lives lost and even more left wounded. As a nation, we must make sure all those who sacrificed over the years know their efforts were not in vain, but that their commitment to duty and service to country kept us safe and allowed us to ensure the acts of that fateful day do not occur again. My prayers today are first for all those Gold Star families who lost loved ones, and then that our nation will emerge stronger and safer going forward."
