Harris Announces Grant to Crisfield-Somerset County Airport

WASHINGTON, DC: Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a $670,074 federal grant to the Crisfield-Somerset County Airport. The grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Transportation and will fund removal of tree obstructions to meet Federal Aviation Administration design standards.

Rep. Andy Harris made the following statement:

"As a member of the Committee on Appropriations, I applaud the award of this grant to the Crisfield-Somerset County Airport. This facility supports local high-paying technical and skilled jobs, as well as local business revenue and purchases. The investment of these federal funds will directly help our local economy now and in the future."
