Harris Announces DHHS Grant To Lower Shore Clinic, Inc
WASHINGTON, DC: Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01), Member of the House Appropriations Committee’s Labor, Health, and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Subcommittee, is pleased to announce that the Department of Health and Human Services will be announcing a Congressional Mental Health & Substance Abuse Service Grant in the amount of $1,000,000 to the Lower Shore Clinic, Inc in Salisbury, Maryland. The Lower Shore Clinic, Inc has proposed to expand its service provision as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center and this grant money will go towards fulfilling that goal.

“As a physician, I am very pleased to hear that the Department of Health and Human Services is awarding the Lower Shore Clinic with this sizable grant. For decades, the Lower Shore Clinic has provided effective and highly accessible healthcare to Eastern Shore residents. This grant will allow them not only to continue their important work, but also to expand the services they offer. This investment in interventions for substance abuse and mental health comes at a pivotal time and I look forward to seeing this money put to good use.”
