Harris Announces $468,500 Award for Agriculture and Environment Entrepreneurs
WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Tuesday, July 23rd, Rep. Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced an award of $468,500 for the Farm-Fish-Food Program of the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center, Inc. The grant is provided by the Economic Development Administration (EDA). The Farm-Fish-Food Program intends to invest funds in eastern and southern Maryland to address agriculture, aquaculture, and environmental challenges. According to the EDA, “The project will direct entrepreneurs and innovators through one-day challenge events, six-week virtual programs, and an intense four-month accelerator course in mentorship, training, and networking.”
“As a member of the Committee on Appropriations, I am pleased these funds will support entrepreneurs in agriculture, aquaculture and the environment who can help develop job opportunities and solve problems on the Eastern Shore” Congressman Harris said.
