Congressman Harris Addresses Ocean City Beach Erosion with Army Corps Following Weekend Storm

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) discussed restoring Ocean City’s beach following this weekend’s severe weather with Colonel Francis B. Pera, Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District, yesterday. Harris also applauded the Army Corps’ newly awarded $25.7 million contract to reconstruct the Atlantic Coast of Maryland berm in Ocean City.

Statement from Congressman Harris:

“I spoke directly with Army Corps Baltimore District Commander Colonel Pera about restoring Ocean City’s beach following this weekend’s storm, and I applaud the new $25.7 million contract for the town’s berm reconstruction. This funding will help Ocean City recover from the storm and prepare for future storms.”
