Today I had the honor of presenting a proclamation to Reverend Kevin Cross on behalf of the Church of the Holy Trinity for providing food and financial assistance to members of the U.S. Coast Guard during the partial government shutdown, alongside Maryland Comptroller Pete Franchot.
Today I visited Smith Island along with Senator Van Hollen and other Maryland dignitaries. We celebrated shoreline restoration and the Rhodes Point jetty - projects that were a collaboration of the Army Corps and state and federal agency partners. This project addressed jetty and shoreline restoration, navigation improvements, and habitat restoration.
At our Crisfield Town Hall today we had a great showing and even better questions. We addressed medicare drug pricing, immigration, the national flood insurance program, offshore energy, and other topics as well. I always enjoy talking with the people of Somerset County!
